Music Do Bearded Dragons Like It

Kastrup Sea Bath - White AB arkitekter Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky

out into the Øresund from Strandpark in Kastrup, Kastrup Sea Bath the living and integral part of new sea front.
The project is a platform that allows water access and swimming in the sea as if it were a swimming pool. Besides the main wooden structure is also designed a service building annex and bathroom sinks for the disabled.

A boardwalk takes visitors around a building cicular, gradually rising to the surface of the sea, ending in a 5m diving platform. The material used is wood azobe, chosen for its durability in sea water.
The platform is separated from water through a thin legs about a meter and supporting structures are exposed to the public.

The bathroom is conceived as a dynamic sculptural form which can be seen from the beach, sea and air. Its silhouette is gradually changing as the viewer moves around and as the light is changing during the day.

The circular shape creates an inside, protected from the wind. This form opens to the coast to connect to the beach and invite visitors to enter. A continuous bench runs along the waterfront, creating another area for rest and recreation.

An important part of the Sea Bath concept is that membership is free and open to the public all the time. This "bath" is designed as a non-traditional support for sporting activities. There is room for a quiet afternoon of swimming, as well as exercise and fun. It is expected that older adults are as comfortable as young athletes.

ramps and other features and facilities allow community members with less mobility to have full access to the baths.

The illumination of the platform is designed with the aim of providing a dramatic experience of the place, both at night and during the long season dark, of course the case of a safe and functional lighting ..
